Let's face it. Financial literacy can be ten shades worse than dull - especially for kids. Luckily, you've discovered mtrek, where kids can learn about money, saving, spending and investing with a lot of interactivity, some hands-on problem solving and a pinch of silliness. Here, learning about money is an exploration and not just a homework assignment.

mtrek was created for kids. You may want to join them as they explore mtrek, so you can answer any questions they have and help them through some of the more challenging terrain. Older kids will probably be ready to set out on their own.

You may also be interested in visiting the Teacher Resource Centre, a free resource to help teachers and parents teach kids aged 8 to 12 the basics of money. Here you will find downloadable lesson plans, quizzes and interactive activities on topics like creating a budget, smart spending and the long-term benefits of saving.
